FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, namely to a surgical stitching instrument. The surgical stitching instrument contains an end effector, a barrel assembly and a handle assembly. The end effector is made with the possibility of receiving a cassette. The cassette includes at least one of a knife and staples, and it is made with the possibility of switching from a non-activated position of the cassette to an activated position of the cassette. The knife is made with the possibility of cutting the tissue when switching from the non-activated position of the cassette to the activated position of the cassette. Staples are made with the possibility of stitching the tissue when switching from the non-activated position of the cassette to the activated position of the cassette. The handle assembly includes a handle case, a starting element and a feedback generator. The feedback generator includes a sound generator and a feedback assembly. In the second embodiment, the surgical stitching instrument contains an end effector, a barrel assembly and a handle assembly. The end effector is made with the possibility of functional support of a cassette, made with the possibility of switching from an activated position of the cassette to a non-activated position of the cassette. The handle assembly includes a handle case, a starting element and a feedback generator. A method for providing an indication indicating that the cassette of a surgical stitching instrument is switched from the non-activated position to the activated position is also proposed, wherein the surgical stitching instrument is the above-mentioned surgical stitching instrument, while the method contains stages in which the starting element is selectively switched during a starting stroke from the first position to the second position; the cassette is switched from the non-activated position of the cassette to the activated position of the cassette by selectively switching the starting element to the second position; simultaneously an audible signal and a visual indicator are generated when the starting element completes the starting stroke to provide an indication indicating the switching of the cassette to the activated position; and at least one of the dissection of the patient's tissue or the fastening of the patient's tissue is performed after the switching of the cassette to the activated position.
EFFECT: use of inventions allows for stitching and/or cutting of the tissue.
