FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is intended for stabilization of oil-in-water emulsions, including mucomimetic polymer. Ophthalmic composition in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion includes a mucomimetic polymer selected from hyaluronic acid and salts thereof, and lipoic acid. Weight ratio of lipoic acid to the mucomimetic polymer ranges from 0.05 to 0.15 and composition contains 0.1–0.15 wt % lipids. Invention also provides use of lipoic acid for stabilizing an oil-in-water emulsion containing a mucomimetic polymer selected from hyaluronic acid and salts thereof.
EFFECT: use of group of inventions increases stability of emulsion, which includes hyaluronic acid or its salts.
