FIELD: monitoring and measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control and measuring equipment, namely to means of electromagnetic control of thickness of anticorrosive coating of steel pipes in production flow. Essence: device for automatic control of anticorrosion coating on steel pipe, which is in production flow and performing screw motion, includes support with installed on it with possibility of rotation relative to horizontal axis and fixation in working position with inclined frame. On frame with possibility of rotation relative to horizontal axis there is a platform carrying a set of horizontally oriented eddy-current sensors. Sensors are arranged in two rows in staggered order and are intended for signal transmission on thickness of anticorrosion coating of pipe surface section, length of which is set more than pitch of screw motion of pipe. Working position of the inclined frame corresponds to the working position of the platform with a set of eddy-current sensors. Device is equipped with automation process control means.
EFFECT: high accuracy of controlling the thickness of the anticorrosion coating on the entire surface of the pipe, excluding "blind" zones, with complete automation of the process of measuring / monitoring the thickness of such a coating and the absence of dependence on the diameter of pipes and steel grades.
