SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. Method of assessing visceral hypersensitivity in patients with symptoms of functional dyspepsia involves drinking dough, wherein the examination is carried out for two days with the use on an empty stomach of non-carbonated drinking water of different temperature (1st day – 25 °C, 2nd day – 40 °C) to feeling full saturation with fixation of volumes of the liquid, wherein reduced volume of the fluid when the temperature of the water is increased by 50 % and more indicates a temperature hypersensitivity.
EFFECT: invention enables simultaneous assessment of both mechanical (gastric distention with water) and temperature (water of different temperature) visceral hypersensitivity.
