FIELD: medicine; gastroenterology.
SUBSTANCE: measure level of cholecystokinin in the blood in the fasting state and after a drinking test. During the test noncarbonated drinking water at room temperature is used. Decreased hormone level after the drinking test compared with the initial level indicates dysregulation of gastric relaxation accommodation.
EFFECT: method allows to diagnose dysregulation of gastric relaxation accommodation by conducting a test that does not require presence of foreign object in the gastric cavity and does not violate the normal physiology of the organ due to the possibility of assessing the effect of drinking load on the level of the main hormone regulator of proximal stomach relaxation.
