FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to gastroenterology, and can be used to assess violations of accommodation of the stomach in patients with pathology of the digestive system. The dynamics of the value of the ratio of the volume of the proximal stomach to the volume of the distal stomach is determined using magnetic resonance imaging. In this case, the study is carried out before and after the drinking test with the use of non-carbonated drinking water at room temperature on an empty stomach until a feeling of complete satiety. An increase in the initial value of this ratio after the drinking test by less than 50% indicates the presence of accommodation disorders.
EFFECT: method provides non-invasive determination of gastric accommodation disorder by determining the value of the ratio of the volume of the proximal stomach to the volume of the distal stomach using fasting magnetic resonance imaging and drinking water.
