METHOD OF PRODUCING BALLISTIC FABRIC FOR MAKING BULLETPROOF MATERIAL AND BULLETPROOF MATERIAL Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC F41H1/02

Abstract RU 2725198 C1

FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to armor structures, in particular, to layered bulletproof materials from ballistic fabric and methods for their production, as well as methods for processing woven articles modified with monochloroacetic acid and 1,6-hexanediol, and can be used in production of personal protective equipment: armor vests, protective clothing, armored helmets and their elements. Method of producing ballistic fabric for making bulletproof material involves treating tissue threads by dipping tissue in 50 % monochloroacetic acid solution in distilled water, holding in it with subsequent washing, sizing of tissue threads by immersing tissue in 20–50 % solution of 1,6-hexanediol in distilled or desalinated water, holding in it, drying until evaporation of solvent, treatment with catalyst – 20–40 % sulfuric acid solution, followed by washing from catalyst and drying to air-dry state. Bulletproof material is made of layers of ballistic fabric, which is produced by the method under the invention.

EFFECT: improved ballistic properties of ballistic fabric and bulletproof material made from it.
