SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for mixing and grinding various loose powder materials and can be used in chemical, food, pharmaceutical and other industries. Drum mixer comprises cylindrical housing with journal and cover, shaft, bearing support, drive, rotary frame and mixing device, which consists of intersecting perforated blades arranged inside housing and fixed on cover. Mixing device is installed with a gap relative to the housing walls and is located along the housing axis. Blades are made bent in direction of body rotation and have different perforation. Between the blades there are grinding bodies in the form of balls, cylindrical rollers or rods. Blades are bent along radius, the centre of which is located on the previous blade.

EFFECT: invention improves the quality of the obtained mixture owing to intensification of the process of mixing components, grinding and abrasion of loose material particles.
