FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to three-dimensional printing of composite volumetric parts from metal by layer-by-layer synthesis and can be used in various fields of machine building. Device is characterized by that feed mechanism of initial material, made in form of wire with sectioned profile of repeating sections, including bulges and thin connecting sections, wherein cross-section area of connecting sections is less than cross-section area of bulges of not less than 10 times, and their length is not more than longitudinal size of bulges, is made with possibility of step-by-step supply of initial material and accurate positioning in given point of space of next section of wire, and the energy beam focus is oriented to the next section of the wire positioned in a given point of space.
EFFECT: technical result is possibility of obtaining objects of any shape with preservation of high speed of printing and high surface cleanliness without additional machining.
