FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tool production and can be used for making diamond tools with metal bonds, mainly by powder metallurgy. Binder contains cobalt, copper, tin and solid fillers. Latter are tungsten with particle size of 2–70 mcm and tungsten nanoparticles. Ratio of components in the binder is as follows, wt%: cobalt 25.0–70.0; copper 10.0–48.0; tin 1.0–20.0; tungsten with particle size of 2–70 mcm – 5.0–23.0; tungsten nanoparticles 1.0–7.0.
EFFECT: result is increased strength of diamond retaining in binder, cutting ability and resistance of diamond tool.
