FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to surgical instruments. Surgical stapling device comprises a body, a shaft assembly, an end effector and a cassette with staples. Barrel unit extends distally from the body. Barrel unit sets the longitudinal axis. End effector comprises an anvil and a lower branch. Anvil is configured to turn to the lower jaw to catch the tissue between the anvil and the lower branch. Staple cartridge is connected to the lower branch. Staple cartridge comprises a platform, brackets, a first compressible element and a second compressible element. Platform faces the limit stop. Brackets are located in holes for brackets formed in platform. First compressible element extends to thrust. First compressible element is located along first outer platform area. First compressible element is configured to press the fabric against the anvil. Second compressible element passes to the stop. Second compressible element is located along the second outer area of the platform so that a lumen is formed in a lateral direction between the first and second compressible elements. Second compressible element is configured to press the fabric against the anvil. Each of the first and second compressible elements is configured to be compressed. Each of the first and second compressible elements comprises an elastomeric material or foam material. Staple cartridge for use with an end effector of a surgical stapling instrument, wherein the staple cartridge comprises a cartridge body, a bracket, a first compressible damper and a second compressible damper. Cassette housing comprises cassette platform. Cartridge body further has staple holes extending through the cassette platform. Cartridge platform includes a first outermost edge and a second outermost edge. Most external edges extend longitudinally along the length of the cassette platform. Holes for staples are located between most external edges. Staples are connected to the staple holes. First compressible damper extends along the first outermost edge. Second compressible damper extends along second outermost distal edge. First and the second compressible dampers are made with possibility of lateral and vertical deformation at tissue compression. Each of the first and second compressible dampers comprises an elastomeric material or foam material. First and the second compressible dampers are made with possibility to stay on the cassette body after the staples come out from the staple holes.

EFFECT: inventions allow tissue cutting and suturing.
