FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a catalyst composition for copolymerisation of ethylene and alpha-olefins. Catalytic composition contains a first catalyst compound and a second catalyst compound, which have a common substrate, forming a catalyst system on a common substrate, wherein the first catalyst compound contains the following formula: (C5HaR1b)(C5HcR2d)HfX2, where each R1 independently represents H, a hydrocarbon group, a substituted hydrocarbon group or a heteroatomic group; each R2 independently represents H, a hydrocarbon group, substituted hydrocarbon group or a hetero group; a and c ≥ 3; a + b = c + d = 5; at least one R1 and at least one R2 is a hydrocarbon group or a substituted hydrocarbon group; adjacent groups R1 and R2 may be linked to form a ring; and each X independently represents a leaving group selected from a mobile hydrocarbon group, a substituted hydrocarbon group or a heteroatomic group; and second catalyst compound contains a mixture of enantiomers:

where ratio of meso-enantiomer to rac-enantiomer is substantially normalized during alkylation to value from 1.0 to 1.2, where each R3 independently represents H, a hydrocarbon group, a substituted hydrocarbon group or a heteroatomic group; R4 is a hydrocarbon group, a substituted hydrocarbon group or a heteroatomic group; each R5 independently represents H, a hydrocarbon group, a substituted hydrocarbon group or a heteroatomic group; where R3, R4 and R5 can be identical or different; and each X is a methyl group.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a catalyst composition for copolymerisation of ethylene and alpha-olefins, which has a specific ratio of meso/rac enantiomers.
