FIELD: polymers.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for olefin polymerisation resulting in a polyolefin polymer with a multimodal distribution of composition, and to a polyolefin polymer. The method includes bringing ethylene and a comonomer into contact with a catalytic system, wherein the catalytic system comprises a first catalytic compound and a second catalytic compound with a common substrate, forming a catalyst system on the common substrate. The first catalytic compound comprises the formula: (C5HaR1b)(C5HcR2d)HfX2. The second catalytic compound comprises an alkylated metallocene compound with a mixture of meso-enantiomers and rac-enantiomers:
The second catalyst has a ratio of comonomer/ethylene less than approximately 0.5 greater than the comonomer/ethylene ratio of the first catalyst.
EFFECT: development of controlled technologies for production of polyethylene copolymers exhibiting a broad orthogonal distribution of the composition.
