FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. Method for contactless measurement of intraocular pressure involves exposure to the eye with an air pulse and illumination with optical radiation, converting the optical radiation reflected from the eye into voltage, recording the voltage versus time, calculating the deflection of the eye shell ΔZ when the air pulse is applied, determination of eye shell acceleration, determination of intraocular pressure P from calibration curve of dependence P from ratio of deflection to acceleration ΔZ/a. Voltage versus time is recorded for the period of time from the beginning of the shell movement t0 to the return to the initial position t2. Time t1 corresponding to maximum deflection is recorded. Then, the downstream section of the voltage dependence is selected, which corresponds to the uniformly accelerated movement of the shell from the maximum deflection to the initial position. Said section is approximated to define acceleration by formula a = 2ΔZ/(t2 - t1)2. Voltage versus time is recorded using a calibrated photoconverter.
EFFECT: use of the invention enables higher accuracy of non-contact and safe measurement of intraocular pressure.
