SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to endourology, and can be used to determine criteria for selecting optimal therapeutic approach to patients with upper ureteral stones. Distance from the stone to the pelvis-ureteral segment is determined, cm; maximum size of stone, mm; minimum size of stone, mm; hydronephrosis - presence/absence; duration of "standing" of stone - more than 30 days/less than 30 days, obtained data are substituted into original design formula. Risk of proximal migration of ureter stones Y is calculated, and if the risk factor Y is 30 % or less, a standard contact ureterolithotripsy is performed using a rigid ureterorenoscope, if the risk factor Y is more than 30 %, a combined contact ureterolithotripsy is performed using a flexible ureterorenoscope.

EFFECT: method enables calculating a risk factor for proximal migration accompanying laser contact ureterolithotripsy (CULT) in patients with ureteral upper third stones and to select a therapeutic approach to determine the readings to the combined CULT using a flexible ureterorenoscope or a standard CULT with a rigid ureterorenoscope.
