METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF LOW MINERAL DENSITY OF BONE TISSUE IN 14-15 YEAR-OLD TEENAGERS OF Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61B5/00 A61B5/107 A61B5/22

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to therapy and rheumatology. The method consists as follows: risk factors are determined from the personal history and anthropometric indicators: body weight, height, body weight index, span, muscle strength of the left and right hands, length of back and hip, for girls - menarche age. With using the values of risk factors, the prognostic factors F₁ and F₂ are calculated by formulae separately for youths and girls, both for age 14 and 15 years old. If F₁ is less than F₂, high risk of low mineral density of bone tissue in 14-15 year-old teenagers is predicted, and if F₁ exceeds F₂, said risk is considered to be low.

EFFECT: method provides possibility of prediction of low mineral density of bone tissue with accuracy 93-100% that ensures detecting the risk groups in periodic health examinations.
