FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of flexible electric heaters which can be used in systems for providing a thermal mode of a wide range of articles in a wide range of temperatures, including in instrument making for transport and aircraft and spacecraft instruments. Proposed method involves assembling a flexible base and a layer of resistive foil, stepped pressing of the assembled base with pressure variations at different stages of heating and subsequent cooling, creating a pattern of the resistive layer by photolithography, etching the pattern of the current-conducting layer. Base is made of one or several plies of flexible prepreg, which is laid on lower press plate, resistive foil is laid over the base, upper plate is mounted and the obtained assembly is pressed at upper softening temperature of prepreg binder. After the assembly is cooled, a drawing of the resistive layer is etched with contact pads at the ends, and a protective layer is applied on top of it, consisting of one or several layers of prepreg with holes made in them, and then subjected to pressing. Base and protective layer are made from prepreg of the same grade.

EFFECT: obtained heaters have high reliability when operating at high temperatures.
