FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to biotechnology, namely to haematology. Said technical result is achieved by the fact that DNA is extracted from peripheral blood by phenol-chloroform extraction, then the polymorphic status of cytochrome P450 CYP1A2 (-2467T > delT) gene is determined by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) followed by analysis of restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) in practically healthy individuals. If there is a deletion allele delT2467 of the CYP1A2 gene, an increased risk of developing chronic myeloid leukaemia is predicted, and detection of carrier genotype -2467T/T serves as a protective factor in relation to development of CML.
EFFECT: invention can be used for determining the risk of developing chronic myeloid leukaemia.
