FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to endocrinology, and concerns prediction of development of type 2 diabetes mellitus in individuals residing in Bashkortostan. That is ensured by isolating DNA from lymphocytes of peripheral venous blood, performing genotyping by polymerase chain reaction of DNA synthesis and amplification of section rs2107538 of chemokine CCL5 gene and section rs6749704 of chemokine CCL20 gene. If observing the C/T or T/T genotypes of the polymorphous locus rs2107538 of the CCL5 gene or the C/C genotype of the polymorphic locus rs6749704 of the CCL20 gene, a risk of developing type 2 diabetes mellitus is predicted in the patient being tested.
EFFECT: method provides high accuracy of prediction by evaluating chemokine polymorphisms – specific inflammation markers, prognostically significant in determining the risk of developing type 2 diabetes mellitus.
