METHOD FOR ASSESSING PREDICTION OF DEVELOPING CHOROIDAL NEOVASCULARISATION IN PATIENTS WITH WET FORM OF MACULAR DYSTROPHY Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61F9/00 A61F9/07

Abstract RU 2726461 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. For prediction of choroidal neovascularisation (CN) development in patients with wet form of macular dystrophy detachment of neuroepithelium and/or pigment epithelium is detected by OCT Angio in HD Angio Retina mode, is determined in the projection of neuroepithelium and/or pigment epithelium of chorio capillary reflexivity (CR) and structure of the neovascular network. Additionally, in the projection of neuroepithelial and/or pigment epithelial detachment, an area of CR intensification in the absence of visually determined structures of the neovascular network is detected, Flow mode is used to determine its area and area in said zone, to determine density of CR in zone of amplification of their reflectivity as a quotient of ratio of area of amplification zone of reflectivity of CR to area of CR in this zone. It is also perifocal also in the projection of detachment of neuroepithelium and/or pigment epithelium in the zones with unchanged reflectivity of CR, the size of the investigated area and the area of CR. Further, the density of the CR is determined as a quotient of the ratio of the value of the area of the CR reflectivity zone to the value of the analyzed area in the projection of pathological changes - detachment of the neuroepithelium and/or pigment epithelium, then calculating the prediction index of CN as a quotient of the ratio of the density of CR in the zone of intensification of their reflectivity and density of CR is perifocal in the projection of pathological changes in the zone with unchanged reflectivity of CR. If the value of the prediction index of CN is more than 1.1, the possibility of CN development in the patients with wet form of macular dystrophy in the detected zone of CR reflectivity intensification is stated.

EFFECT: method enables the objective assessment of clinical course of the disease provided that the zones of amplification of the CR reflectivity are recorded.
