FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry and can be used to control elastic-damping characteristic of vehicle seat suspension. Suspension of seat of vehicle includes pneumatic cylinder made in the form of pneumatic double-acting cylinder, receiver with additional volume of air, electronic displacement sensor, electronic control unit, recuperator made in the form of pneumatic motor. Control method for elastic-damping characteristic of vehicle seat suspension consists in fact that elastic-damping characteristic is formed due to change of air pressure drop between receiver and cavities of pneumo-cylinder. At that, change of air pressure drop is performed by means of switching of under-piston cavity of pneumo-cylinder with receiver at the end of compression stroke and through recuperator at rebound after half of full stroke is achieved by upper suspension base, and above piston cavity - at the end of the rebound stroke and through the recuperator at the compression stroke after reaching the half of the full stroke by the upper suspension base. At that, said cavities are interconnected via pneumatic line at the beginning of compression and rebound strokes till half of full stroke is achieved by upper suspension base with formation of relaxation elastic-damping characteristic symmetrical on compression and rebound strokes.
