FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing 3,3-disubstituted 1,2,4,5,7-tetraoxathiocanes, which involves reacting 3,3-disubstituted 1,2,4,5,7-pentaoxacanes (3-hexyl-3-methyl-1,2,4,5,7-pentaoxacane or 3-butyl-3-ethyl-1,2,4,5,7-pentaoxacane or 3,3-dibutyl-1,2,4,5,7-pentaoxacane or 3-(adamantyl-2-yl)-1,2,4,5,7-pentaoxacane) with hydrogen sulphide in the presence of Sm(NO3)3·6H2O catalyst at room temperature and atmospheric pressure for 4–6 hours.
EFFECT: output of 3,3-disubstituted 1,2,4,5,7-tetraoxathiocanes (1) is 76–89 %.
