FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing tetraoxathiospiroalkanes which involves reacting pentaoxaspiroalkanes (6,7,9,11,12-pentaoxaospiro[4.7]dodecane or 7,8,10,12,13-pentaoxaspiro[5.7]tridecane or 1,2,4,6,7-pentaoxaspiro[7.11]nonadecane) with hydrogen sulphide in the presence of Ho(NO3)3·6H2O catalyst at room temperature and atmospheric pressure for 4–6 hours.
EFFECT: yield of tetraoxathiospiroalkanes (1) is 85–98 %.
