FIELD: weapons.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to development of means of protection against firearms and can be used for production of composite armour for protection of equipment and personnel. To increase strength of composite armour there arranged in series are metal substrate and layers of armoured ceramics. At the same time between the substrate and the layer of armoured ceramics there is additionally arranged a compacted package from a layer of fabric from aramid fibre, or copper mesh, or alternating layers of them with the use of polymer glue in the form of composition on the basis of epoxy-novolac block oligomer modified with polyvinyl butyral, in the form of film.

EFFECT: reduced weight of armour protection and improved operational properties without reducing its protective characteristics.
