FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to self-retaining constrictor-filament devices having improved composite end effector. Surgical constrictor-filament device comprises an elongated suture filament and a composite end effector at a distal end. Elongated body of the retention suture has a proximal end and a distal end. Composite end effector comprises a fixing tab and an overlying fastener with a tongue opening. Fixing tab has length, width and thickness. Surrounding fastening element with tab hole has length, width and thickness. Adjacent fastening element comprises a distal end and a pair of longitudinal slots ending at the distal end of the overlying fastener. At least the proximal end of the fixing tab is inserted into the opening of the overlying fastener, so that the proximal end of the fixing tab is borne against the proximal wall of the overlying fastener. At least a distal end of the fixing tab extends axially outward from the overlying fastener, and the locking tab extends laterally in a lateral direction from the overlying fastener through a pair of lengthwise slots. In compliance with second version, surgical constrictor-filament device comprises elongated body of suture and overlying fastener. Elongated body of the retention suture has a proximal end and a distal end. Elongated suture body comprises a fixing tab at the distal end so that the elongated body of the retention suture terminates on the fixing tab. Inner fastener comprises an opening having a size to receive an elongated body of the suture. Aperture is configured to receive a fixing tab so that at least a portion of the distal end of the elongated suture body is located inside the overlying fastening element. Abutment fastener comprises a distal end and a pair of longitudinal slots ending at the distal end of the overlying fastener, so that, when the fixing tab is located within the overlying fastening element, the distal end of the fixing tab extends in a distal direction from the overlying fastener, and fixing tab passes in lateral direction through pair of longitudinal slots.
EFFECT: inventions allow providing wound closure.
