SURGICAL INSTRUMENTS WITH HINGED TURN END EFFECTOR AND IMPROVED SUPPORT STRUCTURES OF LAUNCHING ROD Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B17/72

Abstract RU 2709116 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, specifically to surgical stapling and cutting tools. Surgical stapling instrument comprises a surgical end effector, a shaft assembly, a hinged joint, a flexible start bar and a pair of support elements of the trigger bar. Surgical end effector comprises a first and a second branch element, a trigger element. Application of closing movement to at least one of first and second elements of branch causes movement of at least one of first and second elements of branch in closed position relative to other of first and second elements of branch. Firing element is supported in one of the first and second elements of the branch for axial movement in one of the first and second members of the branch in response to application of starting motion to the firing element. Barrel unit has a barrel axis. Articulation joint connects the surgical end effector to the barrel assembly for selective hinged rotation relative to the shaft assembly around the hinge pivot axis, which is perpendicular to the shaft axis when applying rotary movements to the surgical end effector. Flexible starting bar passes through the hinged joint for conjugation with the firing element in the surgical end effector for application to the starting element of starting movement. Pair of supporting elements of the launching bar is located on sides of the flexible launching bar across the hinged joint. Support elements of the pair start rod are connected together with possibility of movement to prevent lateral movement from each other in directions perpendicular to axis of the shaft, thus providing support elements of the launching rod possibility of movement along axis relative to each other. Pair of supporting elements of the launching rod are connected to each other by means of clamps received in slots in support elements of the launching rod. In the second embodiment, the surgical stapling instrument comprises a surgical end effector, a shaft assembly, a hinged joint, a flexible start bar and a support assembly of the flexible launching bar. Surgical end effector comprises a first and a second branch element, a trigger element. Support unit of the flexible launching bar contains the first side element, the second side element, the distal end and the proximal end. First side element is adjacent to the section of the first side of the flexible launching bar. Second lateral element is adjacent to another section of the second side of the flexible launching bar and is connected to the first side element at location at the distance from the first lateral element. Distal end is connected to one of the first and second elements of the branch. Proximal end is connected to the shaft assembly. First and second side elements include holes passing through them. In the third embodiment, the surgical stapling instrument comprises a surgical end effector, a shaft assembly, a hinged joint, a flexible trigger bar, support elements of the start rod and at least one hinged actuator movable along the axis. Surgical end effector comprises a first and a second branch element, a trigger element. At least one hinged actuator with the possibility of moving along the axis passes through each support element of the launching rod.

EFFECT: inventions are characterized by presence of yokes and slots for them in support plates.
