FIELD: watches and other time measuring instruments.
SUBSTANCE: spiral clock spring having a two-phase structure and made from niobium and titanium alloy, and a method of making said spring, including production of binary alloy containing niobium and titanium, with content of niobium: residue up to 100 %, weight ratio of titanium greater than or equal to 60.0 % of total amount and less than or equal to 85.0 % of total amount, trace amounts of components from O, H, C, Fe, Ta, N, Ni, Si, Cu, Al in range of 0 to 1,600 ppm (wt) of total amount and less than 0.3 wt% in combination, use of deformations alternating with thermal treatments, up to obtaining a two-phase microstructure containing a solid solution of niobium with titanium in form of β-phase and solid solution of niobium with titanium in form of α-phase, wherein content of titanium in form α-phase is more than 10 vol%, wire drawing to produce a wire capable of calendering, calendering or insertion into a ring to produce a running spring with a profile of a treble clef before its first coiling or coiling to produce a balancing spring.
