FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for fixing optical modules of an optical cable on a sleeve cartridge when splicing optical cable lengths. Essence of the proposed invention consists in the fact that in the method of fixing the optical modules of the optical cable on the cassette of the coupling in splicing the lengths of the optical cable, the ends of the connected lengths of the optical cable are cut according to the template, including the optical tubes modules are cut by the template so that the distance from the optical modules attachment point at the input into the cassette to the optical modules tubes cutting point depending on the cassette design is 4–8 mm, from optical modules and optical fibers hydrophobic gel is washed off, optical fibers are degreased, optical modules are assembled into bundles, a bundle of optical modules is wrapped at the point where optical modules are attached to the cassette by several layers of sticky polymer tape and fixed at the input into the cassette on the cassette body without tension by two tie-rods, wherein the hydrophobic gel is washed from both the outer surface of the optical module tubes and from the inner surface thereof at distance of 1–2 mm from the end face of the optical module tube by extruding the hydrophobic gel from the optical module tubes, degreasing the optical fibers and the outer surface of the tubes of optical modules at distance of 20–30 mm and their inner surface at distance of 1–2 mm from the end of the tube of the optical module, as well as cleaning and degreasing the surface of the cartridge at the input in the attachment point of the optical module beam, several layers of the adhesive polymer tape are applied on the beam of the optical modules such that the distance from the lower edge of the beam to the surface of the cartridge when the optical modules on the cartridge is fixed is 1–2 mm, and after fixing the optical modules beam at the input into the cartridge on the cartridge housing without tension by two ties in the area near the optical modules tubes cutting point, the silicon compound is placed in the beam at a distance of approximately 5 mm above the outer surface of the optical modules tubes and approximately 5 mm above optical fibers from optical module tubes end, uniform distribution of silicone compound, including between bundle of optical modules and cartridge and inside tubes of optical modules at distance of 1–2 mm from their end, 15–20 minutes later, polymerization of outer layer of silicone compound starts splicing optical fibers.
EFFECT: wider field of application.
