FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to pediatrics. Disclosed is a method for predicting the need to include a gluten-free diet in a therapy of autism spectrum disorders. A regression equation Kpr(effectivity) is constructed. If Kpr(effectivity) is more than 1.7 conv. units, then gluten-free diet will result in correction of behavioral disorders and gastroenterological disorders. If Kpr(effectivity) is less than 0.8 conv. units, the positive dynamics of behavioral disorders and gastroenterological disorders does not occur. For patients in whom only one of the analyzed parameters – either behavioral disorders or gastrosymptoms – has been observed, the coefficient value ranges from 1.7 to 0.8 conv. units.
EFFECT: invention provides the individual quantitative assessment of the gluten-free diet compliance effectiveness before the beginning of the prescription in order to reduce the intensity of gastroenterological and behavioral disorders in children with autism spectrum disorders.
