FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Retinal laser coagulation is performed; the first step involves the panretinal laser coagulation of the retina from the equator to the extreme periphery at wave length 577 mcm. Coagulate diameter is 500 mcm, coagulate amount is up to 1500, coagulate diameter is the distance between coagulates 1. After 2 weeks, the second stage involves a threshold test laser coagulation in the perifosae to produce grade 1 coagulate. Power at which degree 1 coagulate is obtained is increased by 2 times, and sub-threshold micropulse laser exposure by the "grid" type is performed along the entire area of the macular edema at the following parameters: wave length 577 mcm, porosity 5 %, micropulse duration 100 ms, spot size 100 mcm, distance between applicants 0 of spot diameters.
EFFECT: method enables eliminating edema and ischemia in the macular area, restoring the structure and functional activity of the retinal neurons, and improving visual acuity.
