SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pneumatic hammer. Hammer contains a working tool with a shank, a housing, a cup with a central hole and a channel for supplying air from the network, an annular flange with a central hole and a throttle inlet channel, end prechamber formed between the cup and the annular flange, located in the housing of the drummer. Drummer has a through axial bore and a bypass channel made at the end of the hammer from the side of the ring flange and on the side surface of the hammer and dividing the body cavity into the chambers of the working and idling strokes. Rod tube is installed in annular flange central hole and passed through central hole in barrel. Recess is made in the idling chamber, interacting with the bypass channel of the striker on its side surface. Bypass channel is made with a decreasing geometric section in the direction of the idle chamber.
EFFECT: as a result, the kinetic energy of a single impact increases.
