FIELD: household items and household appliances.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to household electric appliances for clothes care, in particular to ironing devices. Disclosed is a method of controlling a device for treating a textile article comprising a heated sole intended for contact with a textile article for processing a textile article. Method includes first stage (1001) of installation of first target temperature for heated sole and stage (1002) of detection of movement of said device for treatment of textile product. If at movement detection step (1002) no movement of said textile product processing device has been detected for more than a predetermined first time, stage (1004) of active reduction of temperature of the heated sole is performed until the first specified temperature has value below the specified first target temperature.
EFFECT: technical result is avoiding the possibility of damaging a textile article (piece of clothing) due to the continuous absence of movement of the ironing device on the textile article (clothes).
