FIELD: textile treating.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a portable textile treating apparatus comprising a heated textile contact (TXT) sole (4) for treating a textile. The heated sole (4) contains an opening (H) of the sole. The device comprises a module (MD) containing an image sensor (5) for acquiring an image of a textile product to be processed through an opening (H) of the sole, and a control unit (8) configured to a) execute a sequence of operations stored in said portable processing device of a textile product using the captured image as input to the specified workflow to obtain a textile classification, and b) controlling at least one operating parameter of a portable textile treatment device based on this classification. The module (MD) and the control unit (8) are built into the portable textile processing device. The image sensor contains an active surface that is sensitive to light, which is oriented relative to the surface of the heated sole (4) with an absolute value of the orientation angle, which ranges from 15 to 70 degrees. The portable textile treating device also includes thermal insulation means located between the heated sole (4) and the module (MD) to insulate the module (MD) from heat dissipated by the heated sole (4).
