SUBSTANCE: machine (10) for preparation of beverages for preparation of a beverage from a portion capsule, comprising an infusing brewing unit (6) comprising first portion (3) of the brewing unit and second portion (4) of the brewing unit, made with possibility of movement relative to first part (3) of brewing unit. First and second parts of brewing unit are configured to form a brewing chamber, at least partially surrounding during brewing portion capsule (10), located in brewing position. Brewing unit is made with possibility of brewing a beverage by introduction of brewing fluid into portion capsule (10) and removal of said beverage from brewing unit. Brewing unit equipped with the engine additionally contains electric drive (22) for movement of second part (4) of the brewing unit relative to first part (3) of the brewing unit. Machine (10) for beverages preparation additionally comprises housing with hole (11) for installation of capsule, made with possibility of installing portion capsule (10) through it into beverage preparation machine (10). Machine (10) for preparation of beverages is characterized by that it additionally comprises closing unit (1) and sensor (2). Closing unit (1) comprises manual control lever (14) made with possibility of rotation around axis (15) of rotation between closed position, in which control lever (14) closes opening (11) for capsule installation, and an open position, in which opening (11) for capsule installation is available, wherein sensor is configured to determine, whether the control lever occupies a closed position.

EFFECT: disclosed is a beverage preparation machine.
