SUBSTANCE: brewing module for making a brewed beverage of portion capsule (10) has, among case (2), first part (3) of the brewing module and second part (4) of the brewing module made with the possibility of displacement relatively to the case between the first position of brewing module parts and the second position of brewing module parts, wherein in the second position of brewing module parts, a brewing chamber is formed. In addition, there is control element (6) made with the possibility of manual switching from the first to the second position of the control element, from which, using a transfer mechanism, the movement is transferred to the movement of the second part of the brewing module. The brewing module additionally has a damping device for damping the movement of the second part of the brewing module. It is made in such a way that it has an unstable damping characteristic depending on the position and/or direction of movement.
