FIELD: rail vehicles.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the railway track superstructure, namely to the ballast storage container, as well as to the ballast storage, transportation and dosing methods in the railway track. Container represents container in form of rectangular parallelepiped without top cover. Walls are made of mesh and have rigid frame. Bottom of container consists of four flaps made of metal sheet. Flaps are attached to the walls by hinges. Along edges of leaflets there are holes. In closed state flaps are connected by bolt. Rectangular trench is arranged to store ballast. Container with ballast is arranged in trench in several rows and tiers. Water pit is closed with waterproofing with slope planning for water drain. For transportation of ballast, waterproofing of excavation along cargo loops along container contour is opened. Loading and unloading at ballasting point are performed. At dosing of ballast, container is put on the vehicle for cargo loops and moved to the point of dosage. In case of uniform discharge of ballast, folds are connected with cable slings and bolt is removed.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of ballast delivery to elimination point of accident consequences.
