Essence of the invention consists in that the device for detecting unauthorized objects or substances contains a support base configured to receive at least one shoe shanked by a person, subject to inspection, wherein it comprises a combination of the following: microwaves radiation/reception means, means of measuring the width of an element inserted between microwave radiation/reception means, means of analyzing at least one transmission time parameter between microwave radiation/reception means and/or signal amplitude transmitted between microwave radiation/reception means, and standardization means of said analysis relative to size unit of standard width, obtained by means of width measuring devices.
EFFECT: high reliability of detecting objects, products or substances which can be hidden in shoes.
