FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machining of metals, namely, to finishing of friction cylindrical parts. Proposed method comprises application of discrete microrelief with recesses filled with antifriction material. Shaping of recesses of discrete microrelief of cylindrical friction surface of part is performed by indentation of grains of relief layer facing it and moving translationally without sliding of abrasive paper. It is pressed by cylindrical roller rotating on fixed axis and installed relative to part with clearance less than thickness of abrasive skin relief layer. Abrasive pelt feed is equal to length of generatrix of cylindrical part of processed part.
EFFECT: increased wear resistance of friction surface.
