SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of biodegradable hydrocarbon fluids. Described is a biodegradable liquid having a boiling point of 100–340 °C, containing more than 95 % isoparaffins and less than 100 ppm aromatic substances. Fluid is obtained by catalytic hydrogenation of material, containing more than 95 wt % hydrodeoxygenated isomerized hydrocarbon material-biomass at temperature of 80–180 °C under pressure of 50–160 bar. Fluid is characterized by biodegradability for 28 days of at least 60 % as measured according to OECD 306 standard. Also liquid application is described. There is a need for liquids with high biodegradability and biological origin. Fluid does not contain sulfur and is characterized by very low content of aromatic substances.
EFFECT: special distribution of branching and ultra-low content of aromatic substances ensures biodegradability and observance of rigid technical standards.
