FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rolling and is intended for retention of viscous material applied during cooling and lubrication of rolls and rolled material. Device comprises housing; viscous material delivery device; a plurality of seals configured to move between a first position and a second position, wherein the contact edge of each seal of the plurality of seals is in contact with said surface in a first position and is separated from said surface by a gap in a second position, wherein said surface transfers viscous material to at least one seal from plurality of seals; and plurality of gas delivery devices, wherein each of the plurality of gas delivery devices is configured to supply gas to the contact edge of the at least one seal from the plurality of seals to move at least one seal from the first position to the second position, wherein contact edge of at least one seal is separated from surface by means of gap, wherein, when each of the plurality of seals is in a second position, gas supplied by the plurality of gas delivery devices enables to maintain viscous material within the housing, acting as a non-contact seal between the housing and the surface.

EFFECT: invention enables lubrication and cleaning of rolls and workpiece during rolling without accumulation of wastes which can damage working roll and / or surface of metal article.
