FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology and is intended for preparation of transplant for through keratoplasty. Method of preparing material for through keratoplasty involves its modification by corneal collagen cross-linking according to standard Dresden protocol, characterized by that the material used is an implant for repairing tissue defects "BIOPLAST" for keratoplasty, lyophilised, which is first subjected to hydration for at least 3 hours, and then – to corneal collagen cross-linking.
EFFECT: invention provides an implant for TKP with high strength and reduced lysis in the postoperative period without using native cadaveric material, as well as simplified preparation of the transplant.
