SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to ophthalmology. A preoperative assessment of the risk factors on the part of the recipient is carried out: assessment of anatomical and topographic features of the pathological process, general somatic burden, concomitant ocular pathology. Risk factors are evaluated in points. Points are summed up. If the total score is up to 7 points, the risk of developing a through native corneal graft disease (TNCGD) is low; 8–13 points — medium risk of developing TNCGD; 14–20 points — high risk of developing TNCGD; 21 and more points — the risk of developing TNCGD is very high.

EFFECT: method enables the accurate prediction of the outcome of keratoplasty and the development of TNCGD, which increases the clinical effectiveness in the patients and improves the clinical outcome of the disease by assessing the complex of the most significant risk factors.
