FIELD: instrument engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to precision instrumentation and can be used in designing angular velocity sensors based on a wave solid-state gyroscope (WSG). Essence of the disclosed solution is that when determining the angular velocity after measuring the sensitive elements of the WSG deformation of the edge of the resonator by shifting the obtained measurement signal by , an additional signal is generated, based on the measurement of which and the equation of motion of the edge of the WSG resonator in the sensitivity mode, a Kalman filter is realized, the output of which is the optimum in the root-mean-square estimate of the amplitude of deformation of the edge of the WSG resonator, which is proportional to the angular velocity of the WSG base and scaled for its determination in discrete moments of time with subsequent formation of unknown value of angular velocity as a result of averaging of scaled values. Set task arises in development of angular velocity sensors based on WSG for navigation systems.

EFFECT: technical result when implementing disclosed solution is high accuracy of determining angular velocity of object using WSG.
