FIELD: chemistry; fire extinguishing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions based on water used in fire extinguishing and inflammation of substances in different aggregate states. Water solution for fire extinguishing containing water, liquid glass with modulus of 2.5–3.2 and high-molecular surfactant, additionally contains Preventol D2, and as high-molecular surfactant xanthan gum in following ratio of components of solution, wt%: liquid glass 10–50; xanthan gum 0.05–0.8; Preventol D2 0.1; water – balance.
EFFECT: invention allows to achieve low flotation of composition from non-horizontal surfaces and its high insulating capacity, which allows extending range of means for fire extinguishing.
