FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method and apparatus for producing powdered and recycled raw material for making rare-earth magnets. First, at least one magnetic material (M) and/or at least one rare-earth-containing alloy is prepared, which contains low-concentration impurities and which are milled into a powdered intermediate product (ZP) with impurity concentration increased under certain conditions. Then, powdered intermediate product (ZP) is subjected to classification by at least one criterion, wherein for classification of powdered intermediate product (ZP) with high concentration of impurities in it is provided use of at least one dynamic classifier, which separates the powdered intermediate (ZP) with impurities on the basis of at least one criterion to at least two fractions (F1, F2), in the first (F1) of which impurities are accumulated in at least one high concentration, and in the second (F2) impurities do not accumulate or accumulate in at least one concentration lower than the first fraction (F1), wherein fraction without impurities or with low concentration thereof forms initial material for making rare-earth magnets.

EFFECT: reduced amount of impurities in initial material and higher quality of rare-earth magnet.
