FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: cleaning plate (1) has upper side (2), lower side (3), side faces (4), main cutting edges (5) and auxiliary cutting edges (6) made in the area of side faces (4) matching with upper side (2). Cleaning plate (1) on the top view has the shape of a substantially regular n-gon, where n is equal to five or six, and n edges (10) at the vertex are located between n side faces (4). At that, in the zone of conjugation of at least one side face (4) with surface (2) the main cutting edge (5) and auxiliary cutting edge (6) are made. Working main edges (5) and working auxiliary edges (6) are separated from each other by edge (10) at vertex. Main and auxiliary cutting edges (5, 6) are formed by linear sections. On at least one side face (4) there are at least one first partial face (41), at least one second partial face (42) and third partial face (43), which is inclined relative to second partial face (42) at external angle (α2) so that second partial face (42) and third partial face (43) together with upper side (2) form main cutting edge (5), wherein zones (14) of coupling between partial faces (41, 42, 43) pass parallel to axis (S) of symmetry of cleaning plate.
EFFECT: chip shape is obtained, which provides its simple removal at larger depth of cutting and smaller cutting forces.
