Detection and localization device comprising a plurality of optical sensors (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4) having a field of view which collectively form a field of view of the detection and localization device, wherein each sensor comprises a plurality of photodiodes having a field of view which collectively form a sensor field of view, wherein the sensors are connected to the control unit such that each sensor outputs a first signal corresponding to the sum of the signals of at least two photodiodes.

EFFECT: invention provides a device for improving characteristics of the device for detection and localization.
