FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the vehicles electrical traction systems. Electric transmission of diesel locomotive consists of traction generator containing independent excitation winding and armature, excitation system, traction motors and wheelsets. In circuit of traction generator armature and circuits of wheelsets there are switching devices, which provide disconnection of direct electric connection of traction motors with traction generator anchor and connection to anchor through sliding contacts in series with traction motors only two wheelsets, which are in slippage mode. At that, switching devices include additional commutation channels providing disconnection of direct electric connection of traction motors mechanically connected to forward along the movement and medium wheelsets, with traction generator anchor and serial connection to traction generator armature circuit only of front wheelsets, which are in slippage mode, as well as series connection to front wheelsets of electric power circuits of traction motors of front and middle wheelsets.
EFFECT: technical result is higher reliability of electric transmission.
