SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine. In clinical measurements of visual acuity, a method, a system and a device for measuring visual acuity of a person are provided. In compliance with the implementation, the system comprises a display device, an input device and a computing device. Display device is configured to display human characters sets of different sizes. Input device is configured to receive human responses indicating the type of symbols, and the computing device is configured to: a) recording values in accordance with responses related to pre-calculated similarities of symbols, b) calculating recognition rate (RR) values for each symbol size and c) determining the measured visual acuity based on the recognition coefficient values.

EFFECT: use of this group of inventions improves measurement of visual acuity.
