FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to laboratory diagnostics, and can be used for biochemical diagnosis of primary hyperparathyroidism. Peripheral blood is analyzed for phosphorus and calcium. Level of ionized calcium and parathyroid hormone is determined. Primary hyperparathyroidism KPHPT is calculated by formula: KPHPT=(Ca2+×P)/PTH×100, where Ca2+ is the level of ionized calcium in blood plasma, mmol/l; P is phosphorus level in blood plasma, mmol/l; PTH – level of parathyroid hormone in blood plasma, pg/ml. If KPHPT is less than or equal to 1.95, primary hyperparathyroidism is confirmed. If KPHPT is more than 1.95, absence of disease is stated.
EFFECT: method provides the possibility of biochemical diagnosis of primary hyperparathyroidism by determining the level of ionized calcium, phosphorus, parathyroid hormone in peripheral blood and calculating the index of primary hyperparathyroidism.
